Annette is a native of Greenville, Mississippi and attended LSU majoring in Business
Administration. Annette relocated to Charleston, West Virginia, founded and operated Kitchen Kaboodle, and
the Placesetter, establishing herself as an entrepreneur and
business woman for more than 10 years. In 1987, she relocated to
Atlanta, Georgia where she was employed by the national law firm of King
& Spalding, which is headquartered there. While in Atlanta,
Annette, who is a sports fan, worked with one of the organizers of
the 1996 Olympic Games and with the Atlanta Sports Council bid team
which succeeded in securing for Atlanta the 2007 NCCA Final Four
Championship games.
Annette has two sons, Captain Bill Smith, a pilot with Jet Blue
who is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida,
and Scott Smith, who is employed by Walgreen's in Sarasota. Bill calls Sarasota
home enjoying the water activities and working on his 1983 Ferrari in Annette's
garage. Scott loves video games, while Annette enjoys the
outdoors and sporting events. She attended the Iron Man in Kona, Hawaii
with her son Bill in 2003.
