Downtown merchants are close to agreeing on an “official” downtown night! Well it looks like the big news could be that Thursday “night is the night!” The shops, restaurants, galleries, all downtown, will stay open until at least 8 o’clock. The deal isn’t set but it could be the beginning of a future cooperation of the merchants which benefits all residents and visitors of Sarasota. Wouldn’t it be nice if it kicked off just as the 2008 Season of Sculpture debutes on the bayfront, before would be even better!
