On my 32nd birthday, the Smith family spent a weekend skiing at the Homestead in Hot Springs, VA. My children skied circles around me as I tried to master an old fashion rope tow. Surely, the Homestead has a chairlift now. Hot Springs has always been one of my favorite vacation spots. Now that I live in Paradise, the cold isn’t as appealing to me. However, it did bring back memories of fond times as I read about this Money Magazine dream vacation spot.
It’s nice to live in Sarasota which has a year-round climate where we can “access skeet shooting, golf, fly-fishing, tennis and horseback riding” daily. You may have to travel to the Homestead for skiing and falconry.
