When It’s Football Season
Selling real estate in Sarasota Florida keeps me busy, but most of my friends know that during football season, I’m a little distracted. Florida provides exciting football teams in addition to its weather, beaches and cultural venues. Each weekend as I show property, I’m anxious to hurry back to my TV for some great action. I’m a huge WV and LSU fan. Our family lived in Charleston, WV for 17 years during the Bowden years. Nick Saben was probably a kid then. Smart guy Bowden, he went to Florida State to coach, who doesn’t want to live in Florida?
WV and LSU had great 2007 seasons. I’ve watched LSU football for 40 years and haven’t seen a season like this one. Early in the season, I remember my cousin, Teegie saying “National Championship, I just want to beat Alabama!” Well we did and a few more and lost to two teams: Kentucky and Arkansas in triple overtime. Now we both say “come on Tigers, take the Buckeyes in the first quarter so we can relax and enjoy the New Year. We’re tired of playing football!”
